Instructions for Students: Observers/Non-Participating

These instructions are applicable to accompanying students NOT registered to participate in ISEO events. Please scroll below to read them.

General Rules
  1. Student Observers CAN NOT serve as team-leaders.
  2. Students Observers may not enter or be present at the ISEO venue without an accompanying team leader i.e. a teacher from the school they represent. Students from participating schools are welcome to observe all events at ISEO even those the school has not registered to participate in.
  3. Discipline and decorum must be maintained at all times. Any breach of discipline on the part of a student observer during the course of the event, may lead to the disqualification of the entire team.
  4. Schools may send a maximum of 10 Student Observers per event. Student observers will not be issued ISEO Identification Cards.
  5. Non-participating students must wear their own school’s Identification Cards at all times when at the ISEO venue. Any student not wearing their School Identification Card will not be permitted to enter the venue under any circumstance.
  6. Students Observers must wear their School Uniforms at all times during the Competition.
  7. All students observers are to remain seated at the event venue once the competition begins and will not be allowed to leave the venue till the time that the competition has ended.
  8. Due to space and budgetary constraints, the ISEO Committee regrets that it is unable to entertain Student Observers at the Opening Ceremony and Closing Ceremonies. However they are welcome to attend all other ISEO events.
  9. Participants are advised to ensure the safety of their possessions while at the ISEO venue. The organisers will not be held responsible for any loss of property.
