Apart from the usual marketing activities, Intel has played a key role in spreading IT awareness in Pakistan and has supported the IT industry by providing leading edge technology products to the local market at the same time when they are made available internationally.

Apart from supplying the computing and communications industries with cutting edge products, Intel Pakistan has also hosted sundry interactive workshops, seminars, exhibitions and other events that reflect the company’s aim to promote IT awareness in Pakistan.

Intel is also working closely with the government to bridge the digital divide and promote PC literacy in the country and recently a MoU was signed with the Bank of Punjab & Punjab Information Technology Board and launched a program with the local industry players to offer high quality computers at affordable prices.

Intel’s active participation in the educational front has also been an ongoing process. In this regard, Intel’s education initiative, Intel Teach to the Future speaks volumes for Intel’s commitment to incorporate technology into the nation’s existing educational set-up. This program has been especially launched to target public and private school teachers for training purposes, in order to enable them to deploy IT in their daily curriculum and henceforth enhance the student’s learning curve. Intel International Science & Education Fair is also running in Pakistan for the last two years which is aimed at promoting project based learning.

To date over 100,000 teachers have been successfully trained by Intel ® Teach To The Future Program where the teachers have adopted technology as a key tool in enhancing student learning. Intel Pakistan Corporation will continue to play a key role and support the local IT industry in Pakistan.
